About MVH Insights

What this is

MVH Insights is an internal sentiment-analytics tool built for Mars Veterinary Health — the Mars Inc. business unit that includes Banfield Pet Hospital, VCA Animal Hospitals, and BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital. It aggregates publicly available client reviews from Google, Yelp, BBB, Trustpilot, PissedConsumer, and Reddit, applies sentiment scoring, and surfaces trends to a small team of Mars executives.

Who uses it

Access is restricted to a fixed allowlist of named Mars executives — currently 1–3 internal users. There is no public signup, no consumer-facing form, and no external user accounts. Authentication is by email magic link only; no passwords are stored or collected.

Data & security

The tool ingests public reviews of veterinary services. It does not collect, process, or store any consumer personal data. It holds no payment information, no health records, and no personally identifiable information beyond the email addresses of the small allowlisted internal user group.

The site runs on Microsoft Azure App Service with a DigiCert TLS certificate, HSTS preloaded, and standard security headers (X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options, Referrer-Policy, Permissions-Policy).
