Privacy Notice

Scope

MVH Insights is an internal corporate analytics tool used only by a small group of named Mars Veterinary Health executives. It is not a public service, does not serve consumers, and is not available for external signup. This notice describes the limited data the tool processes.

Information we collect

The tool stores only:

• Authorized user emails — a fixed allowlist of internal Mars staff. We use these to send magic-link sign-in messages and to gate access. We do not store passwords.
• Publicly available business reviews of Mars-owned veterinary brands (Banfield, VCA, BluePearl) from Google Reviews, Yelp, BBB, Trustpilot, PissedConsumer, and Reddit. These are reviews already published publicly by their authors on those platforms.
• Server logs for operational diagnostics (request paths, response codes, timing). These are retained briefly via Microsoft Azure Application Insights.

What we do not collect

• No consumer personal information
• No payment information
• No health records or medical data
• No tracking, advertising, or third-party analytics cookies
• No data sold or shared outside Mars Inc.

Cookies

The site sets a single session cookie (mars_session) after successful magic-link verification. It contains a short-lived signed authentication token and is used solely to keep the user signed in. It is HTTP-only, Secure, and SameSite Lax. No advertising or analytics cookies are set.

Hosting

All infrastructure is hosted on Microsoft Azure (App Service + Postgres Flexible Server + Key Vault) in a US Azure region.
